The ankle opening is very stiff and dug into the front/sides of my shins when I moved. I also couldn't get my left foot into the boot because the opening was too narrow.

They are a bit stiff, but that is usual for Dr. Martens. They also need an insole for comfort. The style is very attractive. Overall very happy
