It was at least one- half size smaller than his usual size ( 12) and was also a bit narrower than usual.

Comfy shoe for flat footers: They are very cushioned and comfy except they have no arch support or curve unlike many Nike shoes. As others noted not really extra wide as in EE or EEEE. Maybe wide or wide-ish. Nike really struggles to keep up with other brands that have legit widths like lengths.
