Purchased this shoe to walk gravel road every day and work on my 5 acres. I need waterproof for wet grass in the morning and incidental wet from work environment. I liked the fit right away and there is real good heel cushion first time out walking. The waterproof claim seems to be true at least for incidental. Soaked pretty good when working on the pool and although my impression was my feet might be wet, my socks were dry when I took my shoes off. I would describe this as a substantial shoe. Slightly heavier than some, but good combination between hiking/walking and work shoe. Fit my regular width size 14 pretty nice. Don't know about durability because only had them for two weeks. If they make it toward a year, I feel like it was a great buy.

Wanted a durable pair of hikers after wearing very comfortable minimalist shoes that lasted only three years at best. The toe box on these seem quite narrow. I wish shoe manufactures would widen their toe boxes a bit to match actual human anatomy. I haven't tried these out in wet weather, so not sure how traction is on wet surfaces, but they do great on dry pebbly/rocky terrain just fine. Overall, happy with these shoes. Seems like the soles will hold up more than three years, but I just wish they were a bit wider at the toes.
Waterproof Scetchers: I use them as casual dress shoes especially on rainy days. Love the waterproof aspect.
