What a fantastic shoe! I purchased these for an upcoming week in Paris, where I will be rockin' 20,000+ steps per day, but still want to look adequately Parisian and have something that can hold up to drizzly, wet fall weather. These fit the bill perfectly! The look of this shoe is a more Euro-vibe, feminine take on traditional menswear, and it can be styled to be a bit more edgy than a plain loafer. I love the wingtip/brogue detailing - adds a bit of flair. The quality of the leather and overall craftsmanship is superb. The true marvel of these shoes, though, is how deliciously squishy and supportive they feel! It's like wearing the plushest of running shoes, but with a stylish full-leather upper -- and they weigh next to nothing, so they naturally keep some pep in your step (and won't weigh down your luggage). These will be outstanding for long days and high step counts. The lace-up style also makes them highly adjustable for any swelling that typically occurs from transatlantic flights. Look great styled with straightleg jeans with a little cuff to show off the shoes, cigarette-leg ankle-length pants, and also with a midi-length silk skirt I scored off Quince. Very versatile! Not sure there is any type of arch support, but I have to use an insert anyways, so I just added mine in and they were great!! They may be a tad too narrow in the toe box, but not enough that I will return them and I have an arthritic big toe on my right foot. They are cushioned nicely and I love how well they are made!!!
