Ordered a wide width but felt narrow, the tongue hurts the top of my instep, and the shoe laces are too short to loosen to a comfortable feel

I ordered these because I like the Torin 8 so much, but I was having a difficult time finding them anymore. I talked to Altra and they suggested that I try the Torin 9. I'm not a fan. Not only does the Torin 9 not have as wide a toe box as the Torin 8, but the soles squeak with every step! I've had squeaky shoes before and thought the noise would go away with use, but it never did and I'm not up for experiencing that again. Sorry Altra. I have loved the Torin 8 style for many years and will endeavor to try to find another pair of Torin 8.

Really do not like this shoe. Sorry I wore it trying to get "used to it." It hurt my feet to wear them.
