Good grief, just about $200 a pair for these trail shoes now! And you'd think they would have all the bases covered. They do not. I wanted to try them, since I have worn the Olympus 4 and 5 which I loved. (The 6 was horrible in every way - too narrow, stiff, pushed the foot forward with that extra achilles pad.) This shoe is still narrow for the "Original Fit" shape that was plenty wide in the 4 & 5. Then, the whole shoe shape is weird, it's curved in from the toe to the midfoot at the arch area. This made my feet pronate, while adding an uncomfortable pressure to the inside/back of my arches & inside of the heels. To top it all off, they really got cheap with the tongue! It's much too short, the laces barely cover it and it really cuts into that soft spot at the top of the ankle. It needs to be at least 1/4" longer. The material is softer & more padded than the previous models, so that's a positive. I've been extremely disappointed with Altra for 2 years now, since their Original Fit has narrowed in every style. Now it's clear they keep increasing their price for shoes that have cheapened.
