This was a followup/back up to my pair of Gel-Cumulus 27, but it didn't feel nearly as comfortable as the 27 originally did and still does.--something in the overall fit/shape wasn't right in the 28. I never had to break in my 27s, and Just can't go backwards--need the 28 to feel the same or better. Also, getting tired of black being the only available color in narrow--would like at least one other color to choose from in the narrow width.
Disappointed. These shoes are much wider than previous versions, and the upper fabric feels surprisingly unstable — my foot slides around a lot. The whole shoe just feels overly wide with very little support. I’ve worn this model for years, but each new version seems to get less comfortable and less wearable. Sadly, this will probably be my last pair. I’ll be moving on to the Hoka Arahi, even though I normally have a neutral gait.
ASICS are the only shoes I wear. I use a full size larger than my shoe size and they provide excellent support and comfort all day long.

I really wanted to like these sneakers so I could stop buying and returning sneakers! they fit well, the sole wasn’t too high but ankle felt unsupported and though fine on flat surfaces. on a down incline the shoe was rubbing up against the ankle. disappointed.
Good: Cute, comfortable, stable. I like a squishy shoe and this is a good medium point between super squishy and firm
Short: I have several pairs of this shoe and have loved them. I bought these in the same size as my others but this shoe was very short. So I bought the 9.5 and the size says 9.5 but it fits a half size smaller. Also they are narrower and not as much cushion than before.
Liked the 27 better than the 28: The shoe I ordered didn't have the same fit as the the one I purchased in a local running store. Preferred the 27.
