Shoes felt too narrow. The box holding the shoes was destroyed when we received them - surprising for such an expensive pair of shoes.

The cut is generous. I am glad I bought a wide width, but these shoes have a much roomier toe box than most shoes.

Excellent black tie choice. The patent leather looks like a low-grade mirror polish - very nice. Break in period was 2 wears, which is always a concern with patent leather. Very comfortable. I love the black detailing on the soles and inside the shoe.

This pair is for my daughter's wedding, and as always, it's a perfect fit with no break in period needed. This is my 20th pair of Allen Edmonds. Some are 40 years old and have been refurbished, and are still in service. Thank you for retaining your quality!

AE has the best quality shoes around. The Carlyle is a comfortable and great shoe as well. Wish AE made a whole cut black.

I tried these shoes out because they are nice. I ordered the 3E width, but it was still too narrow. I had to return the shoes, and thus didn't really get to experience them. However, I will say if you have wide feet be careful as these shoes are not really wide even though they say "3E".
