This is my 5th pair of the same style of boot, looks like a shoe...But comfortable as a boot, nice cut and style to wear with jeans or casual pants!

My last pair went around the world with me. I work on merchant ships and the steel decks can play hell on your feet. I may have kept them a little longer than I should have as the steel toe was starting to show through! The DuraShocks lasted and the fit was true to size. I normally order a larger size with most shoes. I recommend them if you are serious about your footwear.

Review is about the first pair I’ve worn for a good part of 6-7 years. Comfortable and a go-to for casual things where lots of walking was expected. 9.5 were great, but all my other shoes have gone up 1/2, bought a new set of 10’s: had a rough (on the boot) break in day, before I realized they were ‘that much’ too big. Too much kicking rocks and scraping the leather to return in good conscience. Try them inside for a day before taking them outside, if size is in limbo. Not really hiking boots with the semi-smooth sole, and the time I did wear them hiking after a rain, the weren’t soles weren’t self cleaning, so after trying confession, which didn’t work, the return 3 miles was with mud pancakes as wide as the boot is long. The mud did make the down hills a little faster as it worked like skis. Recently the mid-80 degree temps caused the blue part of the sole to change into a blue bubblegum consistency. Everything sticks to the blue part of the sole at all temperatures, not just warm days. Maybe with the rocks and sticks stuck in the melted sole I could have gotten another year out of them, but since it helped track outside media inside, I’m not sure I’d be allowed to live if it got on the house carpeting.

These are great shoes for tired feet. I wear out a pair about every 10 to 12 months. I am a size 12½AA and I order a 13M. I use a pair of heavy wool socks year around for the cushioning and a set of custom orthotics. These are the best shoes that I have ever found. There is nothing better than good fitting shoes.
