My last pair of Chucks Leather Ox lasted 4 years, but I wore them so much I ran them into the ground (low tread, stretched out vamp, dirty crevices). I just ordered a new pair and noticed this one has a much higher profile in back, and the tongue placement is also higher than the first pair (see pics). I definitely prefer the new style, as the narrower opening means they slip off my feet less. I usually wear a size 9 Womens, but since these fit a half size big I got an 8.5 and they ft perfectly.

Based on previous reviews, I ordered a half size smaller than my usual and that worked out perfectly. The shoes are comfortable and required very little break-in. I appreciate the classic styling.

Fit for me was a 1/2 size larger than regular Chucks (I'm a 9.5 usually but needed a 9 in these). Style is fantastic, love the look of the leather compared to the usual canvas, but unfortunately the back heel tab area is super stiff on these due to the leather, and created quite the hot spot for my heel. Will stick with the regular canvas versions for now. If you don't have heel issues it's highly recommended.

Shoe is great overall but runs big. My feet measure about 10.2 inches and the size 9.5 womens felt like a 10.5. I'm reordering for a size 9 and hopefully it works out.
