These were immediately comfortable. I need a shoe that's tight across the top of my foot, so how they lace up is important, and the picture of the laces is what made me order these. I wanted a comfortable walking shoe that could also pass as a dress shoe, due to an upcoming trip that involves both sightseeing and a semi-formal wedding. These are more expensive than I'm normally comfortable with, but I am keeping them.
Mephisto is the most comfortable brand on the market if you can get passed the price and "old man" style of many of their shoes. They are however, radically inconsistent in sizing. I have a 12 that my tie touches the end and another 11.5 that feels like a clown shoe with a full 2 thumb length distance to the toe box. For reference I wear 12 in Blundstone and RM Williams and most other brands. I wouldn't buy this brand if I couldn't return for free. But if you do get a good fit, and you're ok with the style, your feet will be very happy.
Expensive shoe and I made the choice figuring it would last. They have held up pretty well, but the shoe's width did not hold -- stretched to be wider over time.

Mephisto Match was one size larger than the 10 medium size that was purchased and delivered to me. I used these shoes for several years about ago but this new Mephisto Match was not a comfortable as the old one. Mephisto shoes are always a consistent quality.
Fit well. These are not like walking on a cloud. They are springy and comfortable but not Hoka like. HOWEVER, at the end of the day, my very flat feet do not feel sore and destroyed. They are supportive and cushiony where they need to be. Mephisto knows what they are doing. Very well made too.
I bought my first pair of mephisto shoes in early December. By the end of the month I bought my second pair. Simply a great shoe. The only shortcoming is the heel feels a bit wide.
Mephisto is a very high quality shoe, Mephisto states this model is the best walking shoe AND I BELIEVE THEM.
I went through a lot of shoes to find this perfect fit. Extremely comfortable and looks great with my jeans.
