I had a pair of these I purchased in 2021 that finally wore out and I had bought them from Zappos. Zappos didn’t have the color and size of this style I wanted so I ordered from the company directly; do not do this! Returns are horrible and expensive and the shoe was so strange fitting., I got the same size and style I had gotten in 2021 and they had huge gaps on both sides of my ankles, the heel slipped and the toe box was too flat and tight. Crazy fitting and $30 to mail back. I will never order directly from them again and I suspect that the quality has changed. My feet haven’t changed that much.

I have this shoe in this size in pewter metallic and love it, but this leather- black madras feels stiffer and the shoe a little smaller except in the heel which is looser.
Maybe it would mole to my foot with where but I don’t want to take a chance

I love Naot, a big fan! I own several pairs of boots. I loved the look of these, and they are high quality as usual with one design flaw -- because the strap is at an angle instead of crossing straight over the ankle, the metal buckle where the strap folds hits right at the highest bony spot on the top of the foot. It was painful for me to take even a few steps. Maybe they will fit others differently, but for me they were a definite and immediate No. Too bad. My other Naots have excellent craftmanship and have held up beautifully.

The fit is true to size. I have had two pairs of this style and enjoy the soft leather and comfort. Great for cooler weather and for walking.

I think the strap should be a little further up as my foot did not stay firmly in place when I walked. For this reason I have to return the shoes. They are otherwise very comfortable and of great quality
