These didn't work for me, they were really loose fitting so it doesn't not work well for a thermal. Returned, I need something close fitting so my clothing is not bulky and bunchy.
I have had mine for years now. I have honestly worn them probably once a week because they are my favorite pants. They are great quality. They never fade in color and have maybe slightly lost elasticity. They are great for wearing under my ski pants and as just spandex looking pants that I could even cuff up on the bottom. Very comfortable.
I love my other Chillys but these are baggy and not stretchy. If you're looking for something loose and not tight fitting these are for you but as long underwear I prefer them to fit close.
I wore these low rise pants with everything and they kept me so warm. I am very happy with the virtually sheer and seamless look that did not make me feel like a mummy or weigh me down. I wish I bought two pairs when I had the chance since sadly my size is out of stock.
The length from the waist to the crotch was so short, that I really couldn't even pull them to my waist. The legs were a very strange cut as well - baggy around the calves and ankles, but tighter through the thighs. I don't know if these were miscut or what, but they are going back.
