Gorgeous boots I cannot recommend enough. This is my second pair of Red Wings and I expect them to wear in as well as my Iron Rangers. Those have become as comfortable as tennis shoes. Wonderful! I followed the advice of other reviews and ordered a half size down (12 to 11.5) and they fit perfect. Love Red Wings!
Once i dialed in the right size, I'm typically a 101/2 D, but needed the EE, the chukkas felt quite comfortable and required very little break in time. in fact, i wore them for a 4 hour walk around Washington DC on pavement and shoes felt better than hiking boots. The sole offered good support and cushioning and the leather felt sturdy and comfortable.
Love these Chukkas! They look great even to work in an office and feel amazingly comfortable! Doesn't take much time at all to break them in. Highly recommend you get yourself a pair.
Exactly what I was looking for style-wise. I read a few of the reviews that said these were true to size, one said that order the same size you order your Nikes in. Every pair of Nikes I've owned for the past decade have been a 9.5, so I ordered the 9.5 Red Wings. They were way too long. I returned them for the size 9, still too large. I'm waiting on the 8.5s now, hoping they work out, because I do like how these look.
Gorgeous shoes that require some break-in time.
It is a great looking shoe. The upper leather is holding up well after a year of constant use. My concern is the heels wore out so quickly.
Hard to get in and out of. I’m on my feet 10 hours a day and not very comfortable.
Exactly as described, but all of the advice I received on sizing was misleading. I ended up going with a half size larger than I normally wear.
Wears well and is made well.
They are red wings, so the quality is great and are definitely going to last a lifetime. But, if you don't know, red wings need some extensive break in time. They look great, and are going to feel great once me get win the battle of wills against the leather insoles.
