Unfortunately, the tight toe ring others mentioned was true for one of my feet; I couldn't just slip these on without manipulating the toe ring. Back they go. It's too bad because the wide option was a good fit for me.
I was so excited to get these sandals. I have admired them for so long. When I discovered they came in a wide width I ordered them right away. I am so disappointed. While the buckle side was adjustable, the main diagonal cross strap was not and was too snug. And the footbed was only just barely wide enough. I hope to find another style that works better for me.
I was shocked at how tight these are. I could not slide my foot in; and that was with the straps fully extended. I've worn Mephistos sandals via Zappos, and this is the first time I've had a problem.
The big toe access is too tight.
This shoe was not constructed properly. Could not get my foot in it, as the toe ring was extremely small. Have enjoyed this shoe for years, buy a new pair every spring. The packaging looked worn out! Will be returning them.
Strap from big toe to instep TOO tight
I love my Mephisto’s and have quite a few pairs. These latest ones were to replace an old, exactly the same pair but .. I’m finding the leather this time to be very hard and am ‘wearing them in’ which I’ve never had to do before. I will persevere because I love the brand so much.
Very disappointed that Zappos advertises these as a wide size, then ships a medium. Not even close to fitting my wide size foot and creating a hassle to return.
I love these shoes. This is my 3rd pair. I need a wide fit and they are perfect with goid arch support.
