Definitely my go-to undies! Perfect fit. Smooth, stretchy lace means no muffin-top at all. Full-coverage, yet very flattering--not at all "granny pants"! Directions say to wash carefully and don't use dryer . . . but I throw them in with everything else on cool wash and cool dry, and they come out fine! Love these.
It's true---no visible panty lines for me. However, i imagine the lace may show through certain clingy knit fabrics. I'm 5'9" and 135 lbs and wear a M in this style. BTW, i used to wear the Hanky Panky signature lace retro v-kini and found the elastic fibers in the lace break after one washing. I hope the materials used in this panty hold up. So far so good! Gave it 4 stars for style---would like to see a bigger color palette in dark colors to add to my favorite, black.
These are the best panties ever, ever, ever!!!! I loathe thongs and carry extra fat just above my thigh and below my waist. Every other bikini panty cuts right across this area leaving me with a lump above and below the waist band. Ugh! The lace panel on these covers the whole problem area and smooths it down. These are the only panties I own and they wear like iron. I have been wearing this brand and style for three years now and would never give them up.
Fit was slightly generous in a good way; waist line great. Problem is VPL! It's very subtle but, you can see the lines and you can also see where the lace starts. I love Hanky Panky and often wear their Bare Collection boy shorts which I wish came in a slightly higher rise. These would be amazing if they combined the laser cut edges of the Bare Collection with the rise of these minus the lace which can be seen through thinner fabrics and definitely through workout pants. Please Hanky Panky expand the Bare Collection to incorporate some of your other styles and rises with the laser edges of Bare which typically do not show VPL.
Love it, keep the jiggle to a minimum and has a 40’s sex appeal.
I’m a HUGE fan of Hanky Panky retro thongs and have been wearing them for years. Sadly, when I became pregnant, I found that third trimester me wasn’t very comfortable in them (for obvious reasons) anymore. I didn’t want to wear grannie panties either and thankfully I discovered these during my search. Wow! Can I just say I LOVE them?!!! Two months after having my son, I find I’m still reaching for these over other pairs. My only complaints are that I wish they were less expensive and came in more colors.
These are my favorite underwear of all time. They are comfy, don't ride up, and are relatively invisible inter most close. Very flattering too! I'm a 12-14 and have them in both medium and large and they fit well. Very stretchy and accommodating.
Best underwear ever. I would own 20 pairs if they weren't so expensive. These are the underwear I reach for when I'm looking for a smooth look that can go all day without riding up or getting uncomfortable They are beautiful and have held up well to many washes and wears.
Finally! Thank goodness! The perfect panty! I have always love the Hanky Panky retro thong because it gives me some compression on the sides of my hips where I carry extra weight. But, I am past the time in my life when I want to wear thongs. What to do? Other panties with elastic at the leg opening constrict and create an unattractive lump at the top of my thigh. Laser cut panties like Commando give a smooth line, but no bottom coverage and they ride around and bunch under a dress (pants hold them in place). So, I tried these. They give me side compression, bottom coverage and NO constriction at the top of the thigh. Hooray! I'm buying seven more pairs which will break the bank, but I will have them for years and years!
I don't get all the rave reviews on these. THey are siz appropriate but definately no 'no show'. The lace was bumpy under knit dress. The bottom edge of the band that goes around them is no secured down and also moves about - adding more 'show' under clothing. I also found the lace to be scratchy, but I tend to have sensitive skin. The leg bands also dug in on my bottom, adding to VPLs (visible panty lines)!
