This is the first pair of Levi's Rigid 501Original Shrink-to-Fit Jeans that I have purchased in a long, long time. They are not quite as stout a fabric that I remember them being, however, I am pleased with how they have washed up and shrunk; and how they fit afterwards. I usually wear a 31-30 in the 501 pre-washed jeans, so following the Levi's suggestion I purchased a 32-32 (no 33 inseam available), washed them in hot water, and dried them on low heat for 20 minutes, then on medium heat for another 20 minutes with very good results!

In the Black stf the fit was slightly looser than in the traditional rigid blue stf. There's a lot of methods for handling the shrink to fit jeans, to get what you want in the end. I wear a 31 or 32 in Womens jeans, and the 35 waist is a firm fit.

Washed and dried one pair 3 times (can't return). These 501 Shrink to fit did not shrink as they have for me the last 40 years, the length is still to long. 501 Shrink to fit used to shrink perfectly with size ordered (36- 32) but not now.
