The extra-wide is excellent for fat little toddler feet! I totally disagree with the reviewer who said these are poor quality. They are sturdy and the sole is soft and comfy. As for arch support, all toddlers through 16 months have flat feet and don't achieve a full arch till they're 6-8 years old. These are PERFECT infant/toddler shoes!

The soles are a little stiffer than I expected and my 13mo (new walker) is having a bit of a hard time navigating in them. Super cute and durable though, maybe great for outdoor play on grass dirt or gravel
We had some other sneakers when my son started walking. They were so hard to get on. These are easy to get on. They seem very comfortable with the padding in the heel cup and the rounded toe. Highly recommend these for new walkers. We got the navy ones, and they work for casual outfits and can even pass with church clothes. Seems silly to have multiple pairs of shoes at this age when his feet grow so fast. We will probably be loyal to stride rite for my son’s shoes for quite a while.
Very nice and well made, although they are very expensive. They did not fit with my son’s SMOs so that was disappointing.
