FootMates has got to be the most frustrating company in the history of kids’ shoes. They make so many cute, classic kids’ styles — and their leather shoes do seem very well made — but for some mysterious reason, they make their toe boxes long and VERY short. Unless the top part of your kid’s foot is very, very flat, these shoes probably won’t fit.
I’m 2 for 2 on kids whose insteps are just too tall to wear FootMates, which is a drag. This brand would be my go-to for dress shoes if only the shoes fit.

I love these shoes but they are definitely cut small. I reordered a 1/2 size up it was also too small now I’m waiting on a size 8 to come which is 1 size up. She usually wears a 7

The wrong size was sent. I was counting on these for Easter Sunday. In addition to the incorrect size, they were scuffed up looking.

Unfortunately, everytime I order from Zappos this happens. I tried to give them another chance because I desperately needed these shoes for first day of school. Just arrived today. They are two different sizes. Very frustrated.

Gave my son a blister on the first try on now he will not wear them. We had a pair previously that did the same thing. This brand is terrible.

These are so much better than they used to be when I was a kid. The sole is a lot more malleable with this brand. Great buy!

Purchased two Footmates pairs of shoes for my granddaughter and loved them. However, needed to exchange since they were too small. We had to go up one full size from the size she is currently wearing. Just received the replacement and they fit well with just a little room to grow.
