Lightweight PU midsole provides excellent support. Fiberglass shank keeps foot stable, weighs 75% less than steel, and reduces fatigue. I am in the process of sending these back. I have worn Wolverine Durashock Wellington Boots for Civilian Rotary Wing flying for 25+ years. These boots have a narrower sole and an elevated sole inside the sole that makes it feel like I am walking on high heels. My ankles keep buckling with these boots. I tried walking on carpet for about 15 minutes and gave up. Realized I was about to injure myself. WTH? Everything else is perfect. How sad.

I have had several pairs of these boots that fit true to size. I could even get this pair on because they were so tight. Also, they come in a plan brown unmarked box which makes me believe someone else had sent them back for the same reason.
