Tokyo Super Grip

Heartbreaking! Such a great shoe -- perfectly comfortable and supportive. But walking on my hardwood floors at home the squeaking is unbearable! The sole's contact with anything other than carpet, sidewalk, or greasy restaurant floors will drive you crazy with the noise. I work in a hospital with no carpet in my unit, so these will not work. So disappointed. Birkenstock, please bring back this shoe with the traditional sole.

Birkenstocks the brand and shoes are amazing. I'm not happy with Zappos! I paid full price for shoes that should have been on clearance. They showed up in a bag, not in the original box. The shoes were squished and creased, and had dents and marks in the leather, and a black spot on the side of the sole. That's just lousy shady business right there!

I wear a 39 in Birkenstock sandals and I ordered a 40 in this shoes for the extra toe room. They fit perfectly with socks on! I like that both the strap on the top and the heel strap can be adjusted. I am a nurse and an think these will be very comfy for long shifts.

I wanted to love these so bad, but for the cost I am returning these for these reasons: *Leather is very stiff and the "tongue" kind of cuts into the top of my foot *Others have mentioned delamination and the pair I got I can see where there is less waterproof treatment on the cork in places. I'm betting that might lead to delamination with this pair *The fit is not quite right. I do have a wider foot and some bunion issue. The length is about right. I believe Birks are considered unisex, but something feels off about this pair for me. I have had Birki's Bostons in the past that I loved, and I live in Chaco sandals in the summer when I can. Looking further for a closed toe supportive option to rotate with my Danskos at work. The hunt is on!

Get what you expect from these, sizing and fit as other Birkenstocks. The Super-Grip soles and nice.

My chefs feet are happy

Fit was perfect, I'm usually a 9. I'm hoping the leather will soften with wear because it's a little stiff. I plan on wearing these for 12 hour hospital shifts.

this shoe fits terrific! i wear birkenstock shoes, and sandals. i know there is a "breaking in" period so i'm wearing them around the house. i love these shoes. excellent arch support which is great for my knees, ankles and hips.

I'm a big fan of Birkenstock shoes and the way they fit. They are so comfortable and supportive on my foot. The leather on the Tokyo Super Grip is is very stiff. That's great for durability. But the strap around the back is also very thick and stiff. There are little grommets where the strap attaches to the clog. The grommets dug into my foot under my ankle bones. The strap also dug into the upper back of my heal. I'm returning this shoe and ordering a pair of Boston clogs.

I got these for my husband for Christmas. He is a New York City chef de cuisine. Meaning, lots of work on his feet for many hours. He told me he’d like Birkenstocks for Christmas and I was super excited! I rave about mine all summer long! He couldn’t be happier. He very rarely comments on how awesome something is working for him and he’s complemented his new ‘tokyo birks’ twice! Try them out!!
