The cork sealer made my shoes look so ugly

It does exactly what it is for, to protect your Birkenstocks. The directions are minimal so I YouTubed a few videos as to what to exactly do.

The cleaner and brush were GREAT! It seemed to restore, refresh, and clean the cork part well. Then I applied the cork sealer and water repellent and it applied this glossy sheen/layer that doesn't go away. They feel plasticky so when your feet have any moisture, the shoe feels sticky against your skin ... And you've lost that entire felt-like comfort of Birks. All to say, use the cleaner - but may want to reconsider on using the other two items.

Kit arrived as expected however it's lacking one key thing, instructions. It appears Birkenstock thinks everyone is trained on how use that funny little brush already. Other than that I'm satisfied.

So I was a bit hesitant to buy this kit when all I wanted was the cork sealer. I’m glad I did though because the cleaner & refresher is close to a miracle worker. I’ve worn Birks for over 20 years and just accepted a slightly slimy and smelly footbed was just how it was always going to be. Well no longer! Even though my current pair have been worn for almost two years, the cleaner & refresher started to cut through the blackish layers of gross with little effort. After just one use I can even see the logo in the footbed again.

I bought this kit and the cork sealant dripped everywhere and left a film on the cork. The waterproof suede discolored the spray. This kit ruined my brand new birkenstocks ?

I must have misunderstood the purpose of this kit. I wanted something to clean the footbed but this is just scented spray to deodorize. Thankfully Zappos has the best return policy around!
