This is my second pair of Hunters. The first pair lasted 25 years until the soles cracked. This second pair has spring two leaks in two years. Definitely not the quality they were known for. I won't buy another pair.
The top of this boot is 16" diameter; so is my calf, so it was like a tourniquet. My previous pair of Hunters had a looser fit and more relaxed style. These new boots were also tighter around the ankle; I had to return them.
My calf is 16" around and the circumference of the top of the boot is 16", so it felt like a tourniquet once I got it on.
these were really narrow and tight on my calves so had to return. I am small and could not fit over jeans or even leggings. Maybe were made extra narrow, not sure if there is a wide calf version, but I am 5' and 135 lbs so was surprised that they were so narrow. As others have reviewed, hard to get off, but also for me, hard to get on. I do not have wide calves, but these did not work well for me.
I have bougth theses in the past but needed to replace them. It seems that they now run slightly smaller
The fit of the boot itself was great (the foot part). I typically wear size 8.5, but ordered size 8 (only whole sizes available) as was recommended in some reviews. That was perfect but the shaft itself is a bit too narrow for me even just wearing them with tights or leggings. I instead ordered the ones with the adjustable back which has a much roomier shaft. All-in-all, great boots.
I bought them for myself however could not get them on due to them being too narrow. I gave them to my daughter and she is thin but muscular, she almost couldn't get them over her calf.
Theyre a size 11, which is good. Im usually a size 10, so I got a size 11 for thick socks. Its perfect.
