My son is 8 yrs old and has a high instep and wide feet. It is very hard to find shoes that he considers comfortable and wants to wear all the time. He's been using mostly Tsukihoshi shoes since he was 3 yrs old. He currently owns 2 pairs of Mako H&L 2, which are soft, flexible and can be thrown in the washer. Both pairs look pretty worn, so I decided to try the Youth Velocity, the Storm and the Youth Storm. We loved the Velocity and are definitely keeping it, but the Youth Storm is going back. My son said it is uncomfortable.

We love these shoes for our kids and have continued to purchase them over the years. This style is long lasting and holds up to young boys daily use. The shoes wash well in the washing machine. This style does run more like a wide shoe which is also one of the reasons we purchase this brand.

This brand continues to make quality shoes- comfortable, doesn’t squish the toes, easy on and off, flexible, and padded enough. I wish they carried even larger sizes so my child could wear them until he reached a men’s 7.

Fantastic shoes; beware they run smaller than usual for Tsukihoshi athletic shoes. I’ve found Tshukihoshi’s run one size larger than other brands so I’ve purchased accordingly. This time the show was too small. No problem because of extremely easy returns!

My young teen finds them comfortable, not too narrow. They are light and easy to put on and off. They do seem to worn out rather quickly but he is also outgrowing them fast so it all works out.
