Scout Zip Paddock (Little Kid/Big Kid)

My 12-year old finds these boots super comfortable and they've held up very well. She rides five times a week, and even when the boots get muddy they clean up nicely for shows.

I ordered these along with a pair of the zip up Old English boots for my 9 year old daughter. I ordered these in the same size as her Nike sneakers & these were huge on her. I would definitely recommend sizing down, and I generally size up to get my money's worth on an expensive purchase. My daughter ended up keeping the Old English pair bc they fit better & she liked that they were shiny (these are like a matte finish). I actually liked the look of this pair better, but I wasn't going to argue over it since the Old English are half the price!

Purchased for my 8 year old. She is very picky about fit and feel. These boots have been great. Wore them right out of the box. Only one slight problem, the insole insert had a tiny wrinkle at the heel that I was able to trim away. After that, no complaints. The leather is certainly not top quality but for the price it is appropriate if not better. Thankfully she's had no problem with slipping zippers.

Overall good quality and comfortable right out of the box. However, the zippers keep sliding down making it hard to ride any length of time without bending over to pull them up. There is no way to secure the zipper at the top like some other models made by this company. This seems to be an issue with this model based on what I have seen on horse equipment websites from other customers.

These are amazing boots! I bought this and several other similar type boots for my 9 year old daughter to try. These boots were comfortable from the second she put them on (not the case with the other brands) and after a week of horse camp she did not have a single blister, only a little red on the heels. That alone was worth the price of these boots. They are definitely more expensive than other brands but in this case you get what you pay for. They got extremely dirty after a week of wearing them in the mud and dust but after cleaning them up with leather cleaner, they look great and have no scuffs or marks on the leather. So she can wear them this fall too. She wears a 4 and they were true to size.

This is a good quality kids shoe from a brand that I have worn for over 30 years. It's both comfortable and durable. I expect this shoe will last through all 3 of my kids and still be good enough to pass along to other kids afterwards.
