These are the first boots I've owned that were comfortable out of the box. I think my foot is naturally a 9.5 so I ordered a 10 and they are perfect. The toe box is roomy for foot swelling. They are definitely waterproof and great for wet hikes & stream crossings.
I've owned other keen shoes before and they were great. This is the first pair of ''boots'' from keen I've ordered. They are fantastic. They are comfortable right out of the box. The best part is they are very easy to put on and off. They do run a half size small in my opinion so order a half size up. Very satisfied.

LOVE these boots! They perform excellently in/on every terrain I've worn them in: dirt, asphalt, mud, even snow. The grip is excellent and my ankles feel supported. They make me a better hiker.
My husband has been wearing the Targhee II for quite a while. He has had several pair. This is the perfect boot for him and most of his hunting buddies. Need I say more! He sometimes wears a wide in a shoe or boot but doesn't need wide in this boot.
Inside liner of one shoe was not glued securely causing a bubble at the toe. Unwearable

Most uncomfortable boots I've ever owned. Not for people with high arches and adding orthotics makes them worse. They want to trap the foot over the instep, which makes it a tight fit for people with high arches/insteps, while the heel and balls of the feet loosely swim around. No ankle support. They also loosen up too easily. I've never had to re-tighten/adjust a boot so much in my life. The right boot has a defect in the outer toe box that is slowly tearing my little toe up regardless of sock thickness. I thought there might be a break in period, but nope, so I've wasted a lot of money. I will say that this expensive lesson has taught me that if the boot or shoe you're buying does not fit and feel perfect out of the box then return them because they won't get any better. Wearing them around the house does not test a hiking boot.
I buy this boot for my husband who lives in them. Obviously he has been wearing this particular one for a long time and has NONcomplaints!
