The lining at the front of the shoe is cloth. The eyes are not enforced with metal eyelets. This my first pair of oxford closed lacing shoes and are not as easy to put on and lace up as derby open lacing shoes. I wish Florsheim offered this style with 360 degree Goodyear welt leather soles.
