The leather on these was a little stiff but that wasn't the problem. I know how to make leather softer. However, the shoe was too narrow and the strap was too short to buckle. My now middle aged children wore salt-water sandals as children and I loved this sandal's versatility, but these don't quite fit.
These might be a little comfier than the shoes I recall from childhood. After several days of wear no chafing. They have zero traction so smooth wet surfaces can be treacherous. So far so good.
Fun sandals! Not good for long walks.
My daughter has worn this style of sandal for a long time. The pair we received were not unworn when we received them. The soles showed wear. This is the first time that this has happened when ordering from Zappos. The shoes were too small, so we will be returning for that reason as well.
I am a typical size 8 women, and this felt just a little too small with the stitching underneath my big toe and second big tow sometimes. Gorgeous and comfy sandal otherwise.
These sandals are my absolute favorites. I've worn them for 30,000 step days while traveling, no blisters and minimal foot fatigue. They go with everything, are classic, and last for years. My previous pair lasted 5 years with heavy use: travel, beach days, daily 4-5 mile works in my city. They're amazing.
