"Wide calf" would not zip up over my 16" calves, which surprised me. The shoe was too narrow for my wide-width foot, and the heel felt very uncomfortable.

Wide width is not wide at all!

There are very few brands that offer wide width foot with regular width calf. This is my very first time attempting to order this type of style and size combo. A couple of years ago I realized that years of wearing heels and shoes that squish my toes have caught up with me. When I tried them on at home I was so glad they fit well and feel comfortable. Definitely keeping. Can't wait to wear this fall. Only wish they would come in vegan option and other colors.

Excellent boot, however the wide “17 inch shaft was too wide for my muscular calves. I reordered a regular shaft and it fit me well. The style has an elastic insert which makes a snug fit comfortable.

I saved up for these boots. It is well made boot and very comfortable to wear all day.

These were quite uncomfortable around the heel and ankles. The material was very rigid, I could tell I would get blisters quickly and it didn't feel like this was just a matter of breaking them in. I also found the toe box to be a bit narrower than I would like. And there didn't seem to be much foot support -- but the insoles are removable, so I could have replaced them. I did like the calf - I have a lot of trouble finding boots that will fit my calves, and these ones did work in that department. The elastic gusset helps a lot (the zipper took some hand strength to get up, but once up the zippers were secure and the calves felt comfortable). And the boots looked good. But the ankle discomfort was a deal breaker, back they go.

These boots are lovely to look at. Unfortunately, the 9W fit me like a 9 regular. I will be returning them.
