I've bought Darn Tough socks for over 20 years now. At first I used them for travel, from Viet Nam to Iceland and they performed wonderfully whether hot or cold. I've used them for sports as well. Now I wear them all the time. The merino wool is unbeatable, the workmanship if superb, and they have lasted me for over 20 years. That's quite a bargain at less than $1.00 a year for my socks!

I like the cushion on: I like the cushion on the bottom of the foot, not just on the toe and heel like other socks I've tried. I gave it four stars because I wish they were softer.

BEST Darn Socks in the Universe!!! I LOVE my new socks so far. Took them out for their first hike this morning for 8 miles in the Augusta, GA heat and humidity. Now usually my socks are completely soaked by the time I am finished but today was a "game changer"!!! My feet were dry but more importantly my socks were dry! I could have cried, I have never had dry socks after a hike because I wasn't wearing Darn Tough socks. I'm so in!!! They fit and feel perfect! I'm buying my husband a pair to take to the AT in Maine next week. He will be happy, happy, happy, just like me. You people DO know how to make socks! Comfy too! You not only stand behind your socks you literally stand in them! Thanks you for the BEST DARN socks in the universe!!!!

Hugs my feet: I like a sock that "hugs" my foot, stays put (seriously! some socks actuall work their way way off my feet) and give me a walking cushion. DTs do that splendidly. I wear them year-round. This pair of socks is replacing one set that is threadbare from years of wear.
