Weekend Chelsea

This was what I was looking for, I think I've owned all the Heritage styles and this one has got to be the most comfortable. Great fit, I wear 11.5 in Nike running shoes and am 10.5 D with all RW Heritage styles. Super comfortable. Only knock is that the leacher creases very quickly, make sure to oil them up early and often to keep supple leather finish.

I've been wanting to get these boots for some time. Very nice styling. I finally purchased. They were tight across the top of the foot. I could have lived with it. Really borderline narrow, but I could have lived with that, too. Red Wing needs to make a wider option for their gear and understand that torturing people for a good fit maybe isn't necessary and there are a lot of different sized feet in the world. And, I would guess a lot of people won't splurge on the boots because of the difficult break-in period (least for me). I sent the boots back because one of them had a 3/8" very noticeable spot on the top side of it. At 180.00 per boot, I should be able to eat my next meal off them. Shame on Red Wing for sending something out like this out to be sold. Not a Zappo problem, it's a Red Wing Problem. At the premium price point these and other RW boots are offered at, there should be major quality control. This was totally unacceptable. I was reluctant and didn't reorder. They successfully ran a customer off with lack of it. What I make up is Red Wing doesn't really give a c**p and I won't be buying any other products from them, ever. It's all really unfortunate, because the styling of the boots looked great. As usual, Zappos was great to deal with. They set a high bar for the best customer service ever, anywhere. I highly recommend shopping at Zappos.

I ordered 3 pairs: true size, 1/2 size down, 1 full size down. The true size was way too big. 1/2 size down felt nice around the foot, but I had heel slippage. The full size down was tight at the top of the foot. I kept the full size down. After a week of walking, they leather stretched a bit and now they feel nice and snug.

Perfect fit! I ordered true to size (12) and it’s the same size I wear in my Red Wing Heritage Mocs. There is absolutely no slippage. They are an easy break in as they are already comfortable right out of the box. They are also the exact laceless pull-on style I was looking for that would fit inside my slim tapered 100% cotton Levi’s LVC jeans and match my all denim everyday wear and my cowboy hat.

These boots look great and they appear to be well made, BUT they run big. I wear an 11.5 in every boot I’ve bought in the last 15 years, Danner, Teva, keen, woolrich and so on, but these boots will need to go down at least a half size, possibly a full size. Unfortunately the are no 10.5 or 11s in stock for me to try :(

I have been eyeing these boots for years and I am really happy with them so far. They are a little stiff at first much more comfortable before break-in then the Red Wing Moc Toes I’ve had for years (those by the way are very comfortable too but not right out of the box). They feel like a much more rugged and sturdy Chelsea boot then other brands I have owned and I like the lower profile outsole which gives them a more versatile look for different occasions. They are built to last and I’m looking forward to how they will feel once the footbed molds to my feet and the leather stretches out a little.

I love these new boots. Great style. The leather is thick and looks amazing. The only downsides I see are: they're quite stiff on first wear and the instep is tight. I imagine the instep will get better, as others have said. Considering using a shoe tree or something to gently stretch them out. Also going to condition them w/ something like Bick 4 to (hopefully) soften them a bit (that won't ruin the color).

True Red Wing quality. Fits true to size - I wear a size 10.5 in Nike, Adidas, and New Balance sneakers and ordered a 9.5 in these boots. Amazingly light and comfortable, for a boot. Outstanding arch support. Look great with Jeans or chinos. I’m very pleased with these boots.

I really wanted to get a pair of these as I have always loved Red Wing boots and these looked so comfortable. The only thing I did not like was the 240.00 price tag. I just happened to find a pair of factory seconds at Sierra for 100 dollars off. The only thing "second" about these was a machine made hole near the top of one of the boots, totally unnoticeable to anyone but the wearer. I have had them for a month now and they are the only footwear I have worn since I got them. There was no breaking-in period for me. They fit perfectly in my regular size 10 right out of the box. These boots look great, are well made and are very comfortable.

First order was my regular size, and then ended up returning and getting a half size smaller that is working well. They are kind of the Captain Crunch of shoes . . . rough to begin with, but once you get past that they are great! Break-in period really wasn't that bad - seem really well built and will last a long time.
