Medium weight fabric that's designed to provide just the right amount of cushioning without being too bulky. Merino wool is soft, odor resistant, and provides non-shrink insulation without the itch of normal wool. Reinforced heel & toe provide added durability for high intensity activity. Fully cushioned on the sole and cuffs. 60% wool, 33% nylon, 5% acrylic, 2% elastic. Made in the USA.

Beware all of you who used to own and love Wigwam socks! They are NOT like they used to be! Not only do they run small and tight, but they don't have the wonderful thickness, cushioning and quality of the Wigwams of the past. Even if they had fit (and I'm a size 10 and bought a Large which were too small), I doubt they would have lasted. The Lite Hikers seem to be a bit more like the old ones, but it's really too soon to tell as I haven't actually worn them yet. I just discovered the Darn Tough brand made in Vermont. MUCH better!
