I finally gave in and bought a pair of Hunter boots to see what all the rave was about and if it really worked well in the rain. I really love the quilt design giving a rubber rain boot a stylish look. While I can fit between 9.5/10, I found the 10 to fit much better while wearing heavy duty socks to keep my feet warm. Even though I'd consider my legs to be lean/average, I had no problem with these boots looking too wide and sloppy on me (even with skinny jeans or leggings). And no funny rubber smell after wearing them for a while. Overall, I'm very happy to have made this purchase and no longer have to deal with soaked legs and feet from a rainstorm.

While I have not had a chance to wear them yet, I am definitely looking forward to it. The width of the calf is great - they are fitted, yet not tight. I don't think I could wear super thick socks as the shoe portion also fits me true to size, but I did not want to have to always wear thick socks just to wear them, so normal weight socks are perfect and nothing feels too snug.

These boots are so cute- and make such a statement! The quilting gives just a little extra flare.
BUT if you wear the "original" Hunter style- you might consider going up 1 size since the "refined" style is a little more fitted.

I think these are a nice updated look to the basic Hunter Wellies. But would suggest weqring them with the Hunter boot socks. They were too big until I put on the socks, then they fit just right.. Be prepared for a fight getting them off if you don't have someone to help. I practically gave myself a hernia trying to take them off. Only gripe is that I received them all scuffed up. I called and just got the typical "oh, sorry about that." For $200 , I'd like to scuff up my own shoes thank you very much! If you pay full price for "new shoes" you should get new shoes. Other that that, they were good.

This refined style fits my slender calves perfectly! The quilted lining is cool and comfortable. I use these for barn boots and this is my 4th pair in 15 years; they hold up to daily chores 4x/ day!

PERFECTION!! Not only do I wear these to walk out to the pasture, they are gorgeous enough to wear on the (many) rainy days here in the deep south, with street clothes to run errands. Love these with thick socks in winter but also the remainder of the year with varying appropriate sock/tights/leggings. Dry & cozy with style!
