I highly recommend the Recon Lace Boot by Ariat for anyone doing outdoor or labor-intensive work. My husband works in roofing, so he puts his boots through a lot, and these have held up extremely well. Stylish, Comfortable, and Better Than Expected: Love these boots! The Recon Lace has a great rugged look, excellent quality, and feels surprisingly comfortable. They fit perfectly and look even better in person. I've already received compliments on them. Definitely one of my favorite Ariat purchases and highly recommended!

Very confortable and good looking. Its made out of very good quality leather and gives good support.

Had these boots about two and a half years. Wore them a lot over that time. The sole began to badly separate from the actual boot. Took it to a boot repair place and the cobbler informed me that because the sole and the boot were not designed as stitched together (rather they were simply glued) it could only be re-glued, which would ultimately fail again. The cobbler admitted that unfortunately many of these style boots are made this way nowadays.

This is my new favorite boot, I have a pair for work and a pair for play. They are light and comfortable. They take all the abuse you can give them.
