I ordered these in 4E (extra wide) but the boots fit the way other boots and brands fit in standard "D" width. They were narrow enough right out of the box that I double checked the size before I even put them on, and even though it was the correct extra wide width I can't imagine that they could make them much narrower for the standard width. They were tight enough that I didn't even bother taking a step in them, it was clear they didn't fit.
I was expecting my foot to be able to go through the size of the shoes by the foot. They're too tight for a 4E, compared to another brand I got from Zappos
Looks more coffee bean than in picture, would say its a softer brown and not so "red". Leather is almost suede like, not shiny. Aggressive lugs on the bottom are nice, they have some malleability for better grip. Most boots need a break-in, they felt great straight out of the box. Definitely weren't heavy. All in all 9/10. I will see durability of the ratcheting lace tightener in the upcoming months, but boots themselves are solid, tpu base is a nice experiment.
