Gryphon Platform Gladiator Sandals

The leather is very soft. Shoes are comfy but the base to a bit heavy to walk on.

I have a wider forefoot and high arches, so my normal size 8 fit perfectly. Out of the box they are nearly as comfortable as the Birkenstocks I've worn almost daily for years. The strap near the toes is a bit more snug than I'd like, but I know it will stretch with time. The leather is soft, and the straps are secure enough that they won't rub or cause issues. (I have sensory issues and am SUPER picky about that!) As an added bonus, they make me feel real tall. ?

I love the way these shoes look but I found the straps to be too short. I could barely get them on the last buckle and the front strap dug into my wider feet.

What i've learned -- the same size of Doc Martens can vary in length, based on the model of shoe. I first bought another model in 10 womens, and they were huge, but I own other Doc Marten sandals in 10, and they fit perfectly. In this model, i ordered both the 9 and 10 womens and, actually, the difference between the two is *less* than 1 cm of length. I debated quite a while which pair to keep. Also, the pebbled pattern on the leather was prominent in one of the pairs and almost invisible on the other. I'm guessing they were manufactured in different batches.

They fit pretty well. The problem was the back heel strap didn’t fall on the correct part of my heel. It was way lower than I’d like, feeling like it was going to ride down and fall off every time I moved.

wanted to love doc Martens, but just not my style. Too Goth for me once I tried them on and VERY heavy on the bottom with no arch support, not good for my post-operative feet. I was hoping with the thick soles they would be good for this but they are not. I'm afraid with all the extra width on the end and the heaviness of the sandal, I would trip and fall. So back they go.

As other reviews mentioned these are rather heavy but if you’ve ever worn a pair of their boots that is to be expected. These are nice and cushioned, and relatively flat. That is great for me because I have a flat foot. Plenty of room for my slightly wider than average foot. The leather straps are soft and don’t dig in or rub. Looking forward to rockin these all summer!

I love these sandals! So comfy and very fun. I always wear a size 7 in Docs, and these run a wee bit smaller but not enough for me to size up. Heavy but not overly so, and comfortable to wear for long periods of time. Highly recommend!

According to the doc martens website, these are the narrow width. I have wide feet so I could not get these on. I wish they made them wider!
