I have been wearing these boots for about 2 months' now and find them very comfortable. There is ample padding around the ankle and the toe box is about 1 3/8 inches high (35 mm), which suits my crooked toes. They feel good right out of the box. There are very few boots like this made with a nylon shank instead of a steel shank, so that is an advantage for me as I work near metal detectors. Alas, they are not made in the USA but fit better than the other brand.

Not a 4E!!! Only a EW, was looking forward to trying it on. The way the boots were laced, looks like someone else ran into this problem.

These are longer then what I wear, maybe a half to a whole size larger. That is easy enough, but they are not even close to being EEEE. They might be EE, maybe. I normally wear Dunham boots 11.50 EEEE for comparison. Look like well made boots, but I will never know now.

Apparently they think 4E is the same as EW. We needed 4E.

As other reviewers have mentioned these are NOT labeled properly and are EW not EEEE, or 4E. I was very disappointed to get these and love how they look and feel but then have my feet hang off the outside and inside of the boot sole. If they were truly 4E wide they would be perfect!
