This was my first pair of SAS shoes and I’m now a convert. As a wide width shoe wearer, I’ve bounced between Rockport, Sketchers, and New Balance. For a while Rockport has been my goto brand, but their consistency has gone down hill. Out of the box these shoes fit perfectly and are extremely comfortable, providing plenty of support for my lower back.
I have yet to wear them except to try them out for sizing. I have worn SAS shoes for many, many years. Though pricey they were recommended by a podiatrist. They are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn.

I tried this shoe and while comfortable and supportive, the leather looks like plastic. It was unfortunate as a more supple leather in this lighter caramel/cognac color would be perfect. In summary, if you think it looks like plastic on your screen, I can confirm it does in-person.
Excellent shoe. I have a very narrow foot and slim fits me perfectly. Very comfortable. Would like to get this shoe in a more neutral color such as burgundy or navy blue. I would buy another pair.
