I wear a size 5 womens and the size 3 kids fit perfectly. I bought the yellow and was pleasantly surprised by the lovely earthy yellow/mustard color. They look good with skirt, dress or pants. Just FYI, they have no arch support, very flat with about a 1/2 inch rubber base. Yes, you can get them wet!
We have a one-year-old with chubby feet - These sandals were not comfortable for a few reasons. 1) We could barely buckle them up - Kids feet have a wide range of sizes, while ours are decidedly chubby, it still surprised me that they basically didn't fit in the shoes. 2) The leather is incredibly stiff. I can imagine that after weeks or months of wear they'd be beautifully supple, it's not realistic for a little baby who's just learned to walk to break them in - Save these for (really) big kids or grown ups! 3) The soles aren't that flexible. The number one most important thing for baby shoes is that the soles are so flexible they're barely there - the small sizes have definitely not been adapted for babies' use. They're beautiful, but I'm not sure I'd try them again for a kiddo. Doesn't seem fair to have any age kid have to break in shoes - Let the adults get blisters if they care about looks!
My daughter is not quite two and wears normal width, we had to get these due to the option widen at the toes since it’s adjustable because the other Salt Water options were too narrow. Also, she barely fits on the last hole for the ankle buckle. They also gave her blisters on her first few wears because the leather is tough so there is a break period :( but they’re well made.
