Higgins Mill Waterproof

For someone like me who is not a boot wearer, these are the boots to get! Bought them specifically for a winter weekend with buddies in Vermont. Style AND comfort! Compliments galore! So guys.................buy these boots!

Very easy break-in especially for goodyear welted boots. The craftsmanship is tremendous and I love the combat/work boot style. I have the German leather waterproof version with the dainite sole -- very soft leather and they fit like a glove. I have three other pairs of boots (Loake wingtips, Frye chukas, and Wolverine work boots) I would say the quality of these is better than any my other boots. They are great all-around boots for the autumn and winter. Not really the best for trail or rough surfaces with the dainite sole, but perfect for everyday wear. I wore the Wolverines to mow the lawn and rake leaves, but aside from that these have been on my feet almost every day. I tried a size 10 first in the chromexel and didn't like the color or fit -- the return was easy and I wound up buying them again in 10.5 in the different color/leather. I think these will last for many years to come and only become more comfortable.

These are great boots, they look great but more importantly are very comfortable right out of the box. The soles have very good traction, can wear them for hours right away with no break in.

These boots are very durable, with a very good sole and appearance! They are available in several colors.

Turns heads. Leather is very supple. My cobbler loves them too, he wants to resole them when the time comes.

These are my third pair of Higgins Mill boots and I couldn't be more pleased with the comfort, durability and good looks while being assured that rain and snow wouldn't prevent me from wearing them. The fit is spot on and there was no need to break them in at all. I added these black ones to my two brown pairs. I wore the brown pair while traveling in Italy for two and one half weeks in January. They were extremely comfortable even after walking miles. I plan to add a fourth pair to my collection as these are my favorite boots.

Regardless of weather, they look & feel good always.

I like these boots. They fit well and look good. Comfortable out of the box but will probably get more comfortable as they are worn. The laces could be a couple inches longer but seem better each time they are worn.

Very good looking boot. Once they break in a little they are very comfortable. Surprisingly warm too. Laces could be a little longer, but that is the only negative I can think of.

I'm frustrated with the experience of buying these, because although the right boot was amazing and basically perfect, the left one had several issues, most notably an obvious cut in the leather that went through the welt and bit of the midsole--a cut deep enough that I wondered if it would affect the weatherproofing in that area (see photo). Had the left shoe been as nice as the right one, I definitely would have kept them, because they are everything I wanted in pretty much every category. Instead, I was forced to return them, because I can't justify paying this amount of money for a shoe with any obvious cosmetic defects.
