2976 Bex Smooth Leather Chelsea Boots

I wanted to leave this review for people who aren’t familiar with Dr. Martens sizing. I love these boots and I got a size 8, because my other two pairs were size 8 and fit perfect upon purchase. I am usually a size 9 in Vans shoes, 8.5 in converse, and 9 in athletic shoes, so I always size down in Docs. However with this pair, I panicked when I got them because they were so tight around and on the tip of my toes that my feet were going cold when I wore them. I thought that it might be too much and that they’d never fit right, but I really didn’t think a size 9 would fit either. Fortunately, after some serious breaking in (sometimes wearing 2 pairs of socks), they’ve stretched to fit my feet perfectly and are so comfortable. I love these boots and they seem a lot more dressy than the Chelsea boot by Dr. Martens. Love them but recommend wearing socks that come above the top of the boot to protect your ankles, especially in the beginning.

Bought these for my 6' tall niece - spud ugly, but apparently they are the "Bomb" in style these days. She tried them on before Xmas to make sure we got the right size and she says they fit great and she can hardly wait to clomp around school.

I wear a size 6 in Dr. Martens, but a size 7 in most other shoes and boots. But I also like thick tights and socks. These shoes are super comfy and they are true to size for my experience with Dr. Martens footwear. Highly recommend.

I’ve struggled with finding the fit for me with Docs and I seriously just wore these all day today for the first time, they fit perfect and I love the style of them, no pain in my toes from being to small. I have never had them fit with such ease!!!!

I loved the look and feel of these boots. They are so cool and luxe. I'm returning them because the tops hit my shins when I walked in them. That was never going to wear in or not be a problem. I guess I'm not going to be cool.

I wanted to love these, however they were not comfortable. There is no arch support which made them hard to walk in since they are a heavy boot. When I walked in them I could feel the leather around the ankle rub and knew they would give me blisters. I wish they would have been everything I wanted.

I love Docs - but these...no way. The leather feels so stiff, I felt pain immediately after putting them on. Since they are boots, the area above the ankle gets hit and I can't see keeping something that hurts like that. I went with the 2976 for lined, Leonore.

Love these DMs. So cute, so chunky. I wear an 8.5 or a 9 in a regular shoe. I bought these in a size 9. They were quite large. I tried them on with the arch insert I use in shoes, and really thick socks and I was swimming in them. I bought the size 8 and they fit perfect. I do have a narrow foot, but I have plenty of room at the toes and the heel still moves a bit with each step as I prefer. And in a size 8 I am still wearing really thick socks and the arch support. I read a lot of reviews and people suggested that they run true to size. If you have a narrow foot and wear a half size, I would suggest buying down a size.

Ordered these for the chunkier sole; super stylish and current. Returned them because they just weren’t practical. The boot is too heavy and my foot seemed to sit “uphill” in the boot. Didn’t feel like any amount of “breaking in” would be the answer. Next I ordered the plain 2976 boot instead and they are a WIN! Very comfy right out of the box and super stylish! If the Bex sole doesn’t work for you, don’t give up. Just order the regular 2976!

My foot in the boot felt really comfortable however, the top part of the boot was really digging into the front of my leg. It hurt really bad when walking. Too bad because they are really cute
