These boots are nice but run large. The ankles are very stiff and require breaking in. I wore them for about an hour and they made the front of my ankle/shin very sore. I would recommend either stretching them before prolonged wear or wearing thick tall socks until they’re broken in.
I am a US women’s size 11.5. These boots were slightly big for me but close enough that I could have got away with it. I like the look and I think after being broken in they would be pretty comfortable. If I hadn’t been trying them on at the same time as trying the Blundstone BL1609 classic Chelsea boot, I probably would have kept them and been happy enough. But the Blundstones were just perfect! Much more comfortable right out of the box and less clunky looking.
too big
I have owned three pairs of this shoe over the last 20 years. I ordered the same size this time and I couldn't even get it on my feet. Plus the fabric piece on the side was so stiff. I am so sad. These were my go to shoe for fall and working with kids outside.
Save your money and buy the Made in England ones. Calling whatever plastic junk these are made out of “leather” is the most generous use of the term ever. They are stiff and backed by some mesh material that folds and bubbles whatever 1mm laminate of leather there is. If you’ve ever owned a decent pair of boots you will be so disappointed in these. Shoddy construction and poor materials. These genuinely aren’t worth $30.
Almost impossible to put on for months
Beautiful boots but I had to return them. I wear a women's size 8, including in my zip-up Docs. These boots looked too large coming out of the box. They felt like wearing clown shoes.
I wanted these to work. I wear an 8.5 and ordered the 9. They were way big on me.
Once on foot and in stride the boots were great. However the trick is to get to that point. Unfortunately unless your foot is “ normal” or on the thin side you’re going to have problems wearing this boot.
I retuned for a larger size These were actually narrow enough for my foot unlike 80% of Dr martens
