This is a great looking shoe and feels well made. Unfortunately didn’t realize until wearing outside on a short walk that they are narrow and uncomfortable for my foot.

Inspired by the demanding terrain found along the 2650-mile Pacific Crest Trail, the Danner® Trail 2650 3" GTX trail shoes have the waterproof protection, underfoot support, and outsole grip to keep you moving with confidence all season long. Style Number: 61287 Waterproof hiking shoes are made of a durable leather and lightweight textile upper. GORE-TEX® 100% waterproof and breathable lining keeps out the wet elements, while allowing sweat and moisture to get out. Traditional lace-up style and back heel loop. Removable Ortholite® footbed is three layers of varying density that are combined for maximum cushioning and support. Entire footbed is made of open-cell polyurethane for better heat dissipation and air circulation. Ultra-lightweight EVA midsole provides excellent underfoot cushioning and shock absorption. Reinforced heel counter for added stability. Trailguard TPU shank provides both stability and underfoot protection on rough, uneven terrain. Vibram® 460 outsole features self-adapting lugs and Megagrip compound for long-wearing resilience with incredible grip on both wet and dry surfaces. Built on the DT6 last that features an 8mm offset from heel to toe with slightly more width in the forefoot for stability and a good-looking, everyday-wearable aesthetic. Imported. Danner is still making high quality shoes, and these are no exception. The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 5 stars is b/c the toe box is a little big relative to the rest of the shoe, but that might just be my foot. I wear a 10 with most other brands, and the Danner size 10 fits me.

Most comfortable and aggressive pair of waterproof shoes I have ever owned. I can sprint in them. These “shoes” were built for super-heroes. And they look awesome.

I really wanted to like these Danner Trail GTX "sneakers". They just don't have the structural integrity for the price I was asked to pay - so, I'm returning them. They're attractive shoes. Seem like decent arch support and foot bed. And, I'll tell ya right now it would not take much to blow out the sidewall with a stick jab or whatever. There's a bit of thinness that leaves my foot feeling a bit sloppy on the foot bed and not strapped in. I like a Trail sneaker that has a stronger upper, I guess. So, these are returned.

This was my 4th pair of Danner shoes/boots and for the first time they did not fit. The toe box was much narrower that the previous purchases. The base was the same size (measured with micrometer) but where the fabric/leather was attached on the base made for a much narrower fit. Why do manufacturers change a good thing?
