If you’re deciding between sizes, size up. I agree that the knit waistband strangely has limited stretch. Fits fine at waist and is comfortable once on, but it’s a struggle to get over the hips.
Bought XL for 36” waist, 43” hips. Currently losing weight and these should fit well for another ten pounds down as there is an inside draw cord. Will use for hiking, gardening, etc. Appreciate the pockets! Fabric has a bit of stretch and will dry quickly and be cool this summer. THUMBS UP!
These capris are everything I was hoping for in terms of fit/cut and appearance for this price. They're fashionable for the crunchy set. Pretty smoothing/flattering around the bootie area. My calves are on the skinny side and these capris are not too wide at the calves for me. I'm pleased because I didn't want that wide look that you might find at Chico's. I got black and they look good with sandals, hiking shoes,...I can even imagine heels and nicer top. The fabric is nice and light but I am a bit concerned about wearing a nylon, poly and elastane blend in the heat this summer. The waistband, while comfortable on, doesn't have a ton of stretch and almost felt like it was going to rip when I pulled them on. Just a few lbs lighter and it wouldn't be an issue. I'll make it work. I'm 5'6", 158 lbs.
These are great capris but I guess I'm between sizes M and L. I bought the Koen pants in medium, and they're snug in a flattering way and comfortable. I ordered the medium Koen capris assuming they'd fit the same, but I can't pull them on. If it weren't for limited stretch in the waist, they'd probably work. Sizing consistency fail on Prana's part. (Still my favorite brand.) I previously bought the Koen capris and pants in large, and they're light and comfortable but not as cute on me because of the baggy fit IMO. I love the rouched look of Koen and they're flattering in the bootie. (: I'm 5'6" and 157 lbs.
These ran so small I couldn't even pull them up over my hips. I wear a 10-12.
These Koen Capris were just not right for me. They felt plastic-y, on the big side of Small for Prana, and the shirring detail wasn't really there which I thought might add something to them. Boring and uncomfortable! Returned.
A little pricey; however, I liked them so much I purchased a second pair. I’ve worn Prana shorts in the past and they have really worn well.
