The single BOA buckling system is terrible because it tightens unevenly across your foot. Worse there's a pressure point at the top of the tongue. Avoid these shoes due to their poor design. Lastly, you won't know this until it's too late to return them, and Shimano won't support you.
The Shimano sizing chart is confusing. I normally wear a €45 and was told, based on the Shimano sizing chart to order a 48 for a men's 12. I was hesitant but went ahead and did so and now have to return them because they are a whole 2 sizes too big.
I bought these specifically because I have slightly wider feet than most. I do a lot of Zwifting (indoor riding) and they are working out just great. No complaints.
the boa lace system was hard to loosen
Love these shoes so much. So many compliments and are comfy. I placed an arch support in but it isn’t necessary for everyone

Go up a size, these run fairly small!
Shimano's size chart recommended size 42 (I wear US 8.5) and I found the fit to be a little too loose with cycling socks on. I have flat wider feet and found the shoe width comfortable with plenty of room in the toe box. Unfortunately, the single BOA dial at the midfoot didn't secure my foot as much as I would have liked as I found my heel to be slipping a bit. I returned this shoe and ended up going with a Specialized Torch in size 41 that had two BOA dials which felt a lot more secure.
They do not come with cleat or mounting hardware
