I bought a pair of these waterproof boots to walk our German shepherd dog twice a day. No issues walking in pouring rain and walking through wet grass. My wife has an old pair that the heels were replaced by our local shoe shop guy that has and they look great.

I bought a pair of Bean boots more than 50 years ago when I was in college and they are still going strong. They've been resoled multiple times. The most recent iteration had some of the lower leather and pull tabs replaced as well. I had some doubts when I sent them in but am very happy with the results. It's too bad I can't send some of my other nonBean boots and shoes to your cobblers. A lot of mink oil & saddle soap over the years darkened up the original light brown leather. After 50 years they have a lot of memories. Thanks!
Dear L.L. Bean, I wore the tall hunting boots for many summers and even brought them back to have them re-newed a couple of times, and they took 20 minutes to lace, but they were so comfortable I could sleep in them. I finally decided to rehome them and get a shorter pair. I have men's feet so I got men's extra wide and all my toes have room to spread out the ankle ties hold the boots firmly in place there's room for a nice soft sock so I have no blisters no sweat just perfect embrace of my feet and ankles. You would not believe how many shoes I have bought, but I can't wear because they hurt these boots are so comfortable that I could wear them to bed, but at this height, there's so much easier for me to lace, so I'll won to sleep in them! I love these boots. Although a little pricey (that's why I held off on buying them for awhile), they have solid construction, are comfortable for all-day wear, and look great. Other reviews say they run large, and I found that to be the case. I ordered a size smaller than usual and they were still big, so I purchased thicker socks, put on two pairs, and now the fit is fine.

I got them a month ago. But I waited like 2-3 months to get them. Its not a big deal they still gave me the sale price. I guess I'm ready for next winter.
