Ambassador Lace Up Comfort Oxford

My dad wanted some good shoes and heard about this company. He wanted a good shoe that is comfortable. This is a great gift!

Too hard to clean

in 2019 living in San Antonio I went and purchased a pair of Ambassador's they were the most comfortable shoe I had ever put on from the moment I tried them. They didn't need a "Break in period" just super comfortable from the start. The materials felt high quality leather and even the inside felt super soft and comfortable. The bottom of my feet felt like walking on clouds... I recently ordered another pair and they came in a couple days ago... There is a HUGE difference in the feel of the upper... The shoe feels stiff, the sole does not feel like walking on clouds.... This is not the same shoe at all. It looks the same but absolutely a different feel all to gether... What changed? "Globally sourced" means lesser quality but still the same high price? Just two weeks ago I tried the Aden shoe thinking maybe it was as good as the 2019 ambassador... Nope that was the worst shoe I had ever worn nearly leaving me unable to walk after wearing them a day. I wore the shoe for 4 hours today and my feet are sore. This didn't happen with the first pair of Ambassadors I purchased 7 years ago. I'm going to give this shoe a week, if it doesn't "break" in to being what the Ambassador I trusted it to be... You'll have lost a me as a customer because these are not at all the same quality materials, fit and feel feel.

I've been an SAS customer for over a decade now, The quality of the shoes and sandals is unsurpassed. I wear them all the time. So when you offered, at your annual sale, the Ambassador Oxford, I jumped at it. Thank you, again.

Very nice shoes. Comfortable, but suitable for work.

4 stars on looks and quality, but I returned them after trying them on. Width WW (the widest offered) was narrower than the WW 'Bout- time model. SAS should offer a greater selection of wide shoes.

I'd like to wear it but sizing is nowhere near accurate. That means I bear the cost and delay of shipping a return. And I'm left to guess what the correct sizing should be. I'm consistently a European 48 wide and I've worn SAS 14W in the SAS "Guardian" style. But where the Guardian is barely big enough, the Ambassador 14W is way too long. My big toe is two inches from the front and I can insert my index finger behind my heel. Whether to exchange for a 13.5 or even a 13, I'm not sure. If Customer Service can't guide my I may have to abandon this shoe altogether. At $300 with tax and shipping, this experience has been a real bummer.

Versatile plain-tow Oxford provided you don't mind a little extra bulk to the look. Lightweight and supportive, and they work well with a dark suit or a nice pair of jeans.

Bought these to wear with a suit, and wanting to change it up from a hard, leather-soled shoe. Very glad I did. I wear them with jeans as well as my suit. They look pretty good both ways.

The fit was fine but they made his back hurt so badly he can't wear them. Also they were exceedingly HOT. He thought they were leather but I don't think so. They were expensive enough! They are coming back.
