I don't understand why LL Bean makes the same sweatshirt with a snap closure for men and zipper closure for women. I don't like the cold feel of zippers on my neck/chin and I was finally in an area with an LL Bean store so I could try them on to determine size and if the shape of the men's was substantially different than the women's. If other women are in the same boat, I wear a women's L in the same sweatshirt and the men's S fits perfectly - no droopy shoulders or too long length. Absolutely love the snap closure, the dark grey color is very versatile as opposed to the pastel colors available in women's, and the sweatshirt is super cozy. Hope LL Bean continues to carry this sweatshirt and considers snap closures for the women's version.

I received this sweatshirt as a Christmas gift, and have enjoyed wearing it over the past 3 months. I've worn it primarily as an office shirt, which has been fine before I recently started seeing holes on the elbows. Given the light usage, it is upsetting that the fabric is breaking down after 3 months. Definitely not worth the price tag given I've seen numerous reviews with similar experiences. Proceed with caution

First off the good...the fit is nice and overall it's very comfortable. HOWEVER, the fabric on this pullover is very low quality. Within just a few months of wearing it, I have holes in both elbows. There are also holes opening up all along the seams. I'm not taking this pullover hiking or getting snagged on things. I wear it mainly in an office setting and at home. Despite relatively gentle wear, the fabric is just not up to snuff. I tried it take it to my local LL Bean store to see if I could use the warranty for a refund, I was told that the holes were "not a manufacturing defect and were normal wear and tear" which is ridiculous because the holes started after 5-6 months of regular use. Pity because I really wanted to like this sweatshirt but the poor quality doesn't justify the cost.
