I have three Anoraks of this style, similar material going back a few decades for first one.. Strong material through brush, trees, rocks. Breathable. Not water proof but if you are in a rain and working hard it does a good job keeping you dry, fast drying jacket. Used for cycling, backpacking, canoeing, sailing, dogsledding, cross country skiing mountaineering, rock climbing, etc. Has been used on Ruth Glacier, Alaska, Glacier National Park, Mountana, cycling Sweden, dog skijoring Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota. Decided to try the full zip front for more air flow for everyday wear. My favorite jacket for three decades in four seasons.
