Boots was sent used !!!!!!

I bought a pair of these when Zappos had them marked down but no returns. Bad for me. Right out of the box the nubuck leather felt hard with no give at all. The boot was and is very stiff to say the least. I put them on walked some maybe 5 minutes and thought these feel like a concrete block on my feet. So, a few days later tried them again. Still had that concrete block feel. Since that time, they sit quietly in my closet gathering dust. They are nice to look at and look expensive and well made. I think you have to wear them one year daily to break them in. I have since moved on to real hiking shoes like LaSportiva Nuecleo High GTX and really love them. Lesson learned when it says no returns don't buy move on these are not the shoes you are looking for.

Am size 11.5 in Lowa boots. Seems to be equivalent to size 12 in Asolo. I think in Asolo boots they fit loosely at first the conform to your feet after wearing them (which makes sense since these types of Asolo boots do not “give” in the footbed at all so don’t expect the toe area to stretch). In fact, there is very little give in the black colored “band” that goes around the boot so I guess the roomier fit is to account for your foot “settling” into the shoe. One note about this product of that it really “tall”. It almost completely covers a crew length sock which may or may not be preferable for the hiker. Another note is that the leather died really feel or look like leather. Although I understand it is leather from the description, it feels and looks not like leather. Like something artificial.
